Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 31, 2022 Super User Posted December 31, 2022 What is the biggest or heaviest fish you have caught on this bait? I know those that use it regularly like it. Quote

Tim Kelly Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I've done well with it in the perch over here. The OSP Rudra 11 and the little megabass x80 and pointer 65 are others that have shone in the downsize jerkbait catagory. The Rapala BX minnow 7cm is a floater, but has been very successful shallow. GetFishorDieTryin Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 The heaviest I've had on scale was 6.2, but I can remember 2 that I didn't weigh that were both between 6.5 and 7. It doesnt have a weight transfer system, so it doesn't cast as well, but the 85sp is one you should try as well. 1 Quote
SproDD79 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I've had 4lb + smallmouth and 5lb + largemouth destroy it. Those size 8 hooks it comes with didn't hold up well against 4lb + bass, so I purchased the Duo nano trebles in size 6 and 7 , to replace those tiny size 8 hooks it comes with. I think the Rozante 77sp should come standard with the size 7, if I'm going to lake with only largemouth I put on size 6, I thought the size 6 would ruin the action being bigger and weighing a little more but the largemouth still crush it , so I guess I was wrong. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Solution Bluebasser86 Posted January 1, 2023 Global Moderator Solution Posted January 1, 2023 I've caught smallmouth to over 5 3/4lbs and wipers over 8lbs that will outpull any bass out there. I use a spinning rod with 8lb flouro and play them carefully. Never had any issues with the hooks unless I net them and the hooks get stuck in the net. 1 1 Quote
Cdn Angler Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 6.2 which is my pb. Spinning rod 12 lb flouro. Quote
Kelvin Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 6 lb Peacock bass. 7 lb clownknife. Dozens and dozens of 1-2 lb LMB. No tank largies yet. Greatest finesse twitch bait ever made. Quote

The Rozys actually use the Duo Speahead Ryuki hooks which are a lighter wire then the Nano hooks. When you upsize the 63 2 sizes to #8 and 77 to #6 Ryukis, both baits nearly suspend instead of slow float. Heavier hooks work, but the magnet that keeps the front hook flush to the body, doesnt always hold the hook flush to the body and changes the balance of the bait. I have had the stock trebles become duo hooks while trying to remove them with pliers after being completely buried in the roof of the mouth. In all fairness the 2 hooks that have broken had both seen close to if not over 100 fish. As long as you are using the right gear with a sensible drag setting the stock hooks are more then adequate IMO. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 1, 2023 Super User Posted January 1, 2023 They really need to make more colors of this bait. Based on the reviews here I am going to buy some to try to see what they are all about. Allen Quote
Kelvin Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Don't overpower the lure with heavy leader line. I use either a 10 lb fluro or 12 lb mono defiler. Neo pearl is the most productive color. Quote
