Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 30, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 30, 2022 Starts tomorrow. Who ya got? I have Michigan and Georgia in the National championship game and Michigan getting blown out. I’m a Michigan fan through and through but I just don’t see them competing against the Bulldogs. Quote
Super User gim Posted December 30, 2022 Super User Posted December 30, 2022 Per my bookie, Michigan is favored by 7.5 over TCU. Georgia is favored by 6.5 over Ohio State. I am going to take TCU in an upset over the Blue. Georgia over OSU by 10. And then Georgia will blow out TCU. Of note, the Big Ten is currently the only undefeated conference so far in Bowl Games. They are 2-0 thus far. 1 Quote

Super User NorcalBassin Posted December 31, 2022 Super User Posted December 31, 2022 Always nice to see a new champ... hoping for a Michigan v Georgia title game and Michigan pulling it out late. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 31, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 31, 2022 Not the playoffs, but these 4 are our good friends. Made it on tv hahaha and then ESPN , with all their “wizdumb”, put this on the screen, which didn’t happen. Peyton manning played for the Indianapolis colts in 1998 5 Quote

It was unthinkable that he would have skipped that game to get ready for the NFL draft. The game has changed a lot since then. 1 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 1, 2023 Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2023 So are we just completely ignoring a forward lateral?? Refs are an embarrassment Quote

Refs are an embarrassment I think it would be considered a forward pass if he was behind the line of scrimmage and if the guy caught it. That possible targeting call was tough. I wish I was recording so I could look at it again. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted January 1, 2023 Author Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2023 Maybe I’m chewing on sour grapes, but that was a touchdown in the 1st quarter, yeah Michigan ? the bed when they fumbled next play. And that was the perfect definition of targeting. That being said, Michigan play a sloppy game! 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 1, 2023 Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2023 Yeah when you can’t execute a snap on the last play of the game, you’ve pooped in the bed . He hit him in the back not the head but it was a forward lateral anyway 10 minutes ago, 12poundbass said: Maybe I’m chewing on sour grapes, but that was a touchdown in the 1st quarter, yeah Michigan ? the bed when they fumbled next play. I didn’t pay attention to where the line of scrimmage was, and where the potential forward lateral took place. I know the play went backwards quite a bit. Are you sure it was a forward lateral? Quote

Doesn’t really matter what I think. I’m a 3rd party observer, but michigan in no way deserved to win fumble rooskie then forward lateral is not a normal play, looked like the ball went past scrimmage in the initial scrum Gotta hold onto the ball and/or execute a snap if you wanna win. 1 Quote

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they deserved to win. They sure made a ton of mistakes that cost them the game. 1 Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 1, 2023 Super User Posted January 1, 2023 Hey it was a good game to watch. TSU was the better team but it was close. No shame to lose that game. 2 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 1, 2023 Global Moderator Posted January 1, 2023 I wouldn’t mind seeing at least a little defense . I’ve heard it will win you a championship 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 TCU definitely had the better defense and way more fight in the game tonight. Michigan offense was sloppy in the first half in my humble opinion. Quote

They were sloppy on both sides of the ball the entire game. The second half looked better, but still had plenty of poor decisions that really hurt them. As far as Georgia and OSU, I didn’t expect this. Quote
