St Johns River Fl.

Water Temp 66*

Depth 4 feet

Bullrush line.

Weightless trick worm Junebug color.

air temp 65*

Yesterday my partner got his limit fishing a reed line very slow and methodically as I attempted to fish behind him in the back seat.

The guy was like a vacuum and left no twig un touched. He fished a weightless trick worm on spinning tackle while I threw a weightless Sinko.

Getting "frontended" sux, but sometimes it happens.  A good friend will let you run the t/m next trip...nice fish by the way.

Weightless junebug trick worm is my jam, especially around slimy bottom. That’s about all we throw in south alabama

As someone who fishes alone a vast majority of the time, this kind of day fishing might be almost as frustrating as not fishing.  There has to be a better way.  Nice fish!  Got family that moved near Deland, looking forward to a St John's visit at some point.

Nice bass.  The water in the pic looked calm.  If you would've had some gusty wind then your partner would have been busy running the boat.

He owes you the bow next time, for sure.

I once put a guy in the bow of my canoe and the muskies were going crazy that day. He caught nine and I caught two. That evening, he bragged about outfishing me. The next six days, I kept switching us, bow to stern and stern to bow. His lead shrunk every dang day and his bragging ceased.
