ScottW Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Managed to spool up some new line on a new reel hidden under the coal I got. Temps are looking good next week to try it out but stitches don’t come out until Dec.5th. ? Hoping it gets warmer by then or shortly after. 2 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted December 25, 2022 Super User Posted December 25, 2022 Just watched this video from BR after wanting to try a swimjig after the Jones epic stuff. Didn't really touch on what I wanted in regard to the way Josh Jones is using them, but I learned something I think will be very useful. The Best Winter Swim Jig Tips and Tricks - How To from Wes Logan | Video | The Ultimate Bass Fishing Resource Guide® LLC (bassresource.com) TL/DW: All that warm rainwater will be constantly washing into the lakes, which also will be adding organic particles which collect heat and increase the temps even higher in those shallow areas. ScottW Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 SpiderWire DuraBraid 15# in Hi-Vis Yellow on a new Shimano Nexave 2500. Put it on my Daiwa AIRD-X Braiding-X 6'6" M spinning rod. Planning on using it for Ned-rigs, T-rigged soft plastics, etc. I’m liking the forecast! ? 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 27, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 27, 2022 Saturday looks good here, so does Sunday. For sure going Saturday, might try to make it out both days though. 2 Quote
Susky River Rat Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Nice warm up lol at least I’m on the water 3 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted December 29, 2022 Super User Posted December 29, 2022 I sure hope that warm weather gets things going. My last session on Harris was a little disappointing. Nuthin. I see the bass, but I cannot catch them. Saw good amount of bait too. Whatever. I’ll wait em out 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 29, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 29, 2022 Did you slap them with a Colorado blade? That oughta wake em up 1 Quote
Super User LrgmouthShad Posted December 29, 2022 Super User Posted December 29, 2022 Not really yet actually. A little bit of willow. Saturday. It will be rainy and cloudy. Plan on going out in a rain suit. A big thumper spinnerbait will dominate that day 1 Quote
Super User Koz Posted December 29, 2022 Super User Posted December 29, 2022 It's supposed to storm here on Saturday, but it will be cloudy and 70 on Sunday. I may take Saturday and run some new coated rudder cables on my kayak and then head out on Sunday. I'm a little wary being out on my kayak when the water is this cold, but the striper, white bass, and hybrid bite is heating up and I'd like to get in on that. Hopefully the largemouth pre-spawn bite heats up in January as well. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 30, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 30, 2022 I hope you get on em! Love the striper/white bass/hybrid bite 1 Quote
