Guys just throwing this out there. I’ve been kicking around buying one of these things for a few years now. I like different kinds of homemade breads and I haven’t had any in years.

Have you guys seen or bought one recently. Who carries these things. I’m striking out on a local level. Thought maybe I need to get to just the right place.

I’m sure the net and Amazon has them but I would like to see it first. Might get lucky enough to have a good sales person to talk with and go over it. Didn’t want to do something blind.

Your thought and opinions appreciated.

Used to be everywhere had them, they were a popular thing when they first came out. We had a Breadman that worked as advertised, we just lost interest fairly quickly. The down side was they were/are pretty big units. Easy to use, easy to clean.

Now I use a cast iron Dutch oven for loaves but find with just 2 of us they get stale before we finish it, experimenting with buns/rolls.

I may have one somewhere, although I think I gave it away a few years back. Mom handed it down to me, she used it extensively when we were kids. I of course never once attempted using it haha

We have one and haven’t used it in years.  Used it twice a week for a couple of months then went back to grocery store bread.

We have one and used it regularly for years.  My wife developed type 2 diabetes and we quit using it.

We didn’t get much use out of ours, it broke on the second or third use.

We get way more use out of this for bread or any other baking needs.

Same here, I make sourdough three times a week and bagels every two weeks.

I used to have one and I loved it. I would also use it to make pizza dough. But somewhere along the line I lost interest.

Now that I'm older I try and stay away from bread. That's hard because I used to love having a crusty roll with jam or butter and a slice of cheese for breakfast every morning.

Used to have one and used it.  Usage dropped way down and getting rid of it became a better option than trying to store it.  Seems to be a common arc.  Probably a bunch around you that would be available cheap if there was a way to ISO, like a local FB group

Looks amazing, man!
I’m more on the pizza train myself.

I do have a preferment going on now for a bread for tomorrow’s dinner.

I guts to check out your bagels.

Spankey

My Mom uses one all the time, has a few different recipes, but use the regular loaf the most.
I have one like jigfishn10, I use it to mix other stuff too, but my moms is just dump everything in it, then walk away.
