I've got a bass tracker pro crappie and was wondering if any of you that own one have trouble managing 5 or 6 rods and reels at the front of the boat?  Obviously since it is a pro crappie it wasn't built to be ideal for bass fishing but I'm sure someone on here has a good method or knows something I can buy to help with this.  I'm not worried about storing them in the boat, I just need an easy way to maintain them all at the front of the boat.  Due to the lack of room I'm not sure there will be a great answer but just thought I'd give it a shot.  Thanks

Yea the boat and motor fit my needs for now I just wish I had a big deck on the front.  Mine is a 2000 I'm sure they are close to the same boat, but I normally let my fishing partner lay his rods on the rod locker since he's closer to it.  I though about getting this for the back but not sure if it would be in the way or not.

When I had my Pro 16 I lost 2 rods while fighting a fish, I think I pushed them off but did not notice because I had my Itunes blasting in my ear :-[

I bought those PVC rod holders and only had four on the floor next to me and after that incident I kept them strapped always, with the narrow tracker models you have to keep the rods in front to a minimum unfortunately.  I miss my little Tracker, single members dont ever get married! ;)

I have an 07 PT170, I usually carry 10 or so rods with me at any one time. I have, in moments of frustration and stupidity, had all of them on the very small front deck..............not advisable. Lucky for me nothing got broken, stepped on, or kicked in the water. I am comfortable with 3 or 4 up there and thats about it, it's a small boat. But at lest I can keep the rest tucked out of the way in the locker.

I once did the same thing as you, strapping them on top....Last winter I removed the box portion of the rod locker, so now I just lay the them on the left side of the front deck. Just have to strap them down when running the big motor.

I can strap three or four on the deck and put four in the locker...

I've got an 02 PT175 and 6 rods is about the max I can keep out on the front deck.  If I used any rods shorter than 6'6" I could probably keep a couple on the console side of the deck, but all of my rods are over 6'6".

That being said, I don't really need more than that.  I normally have 5 casters and 1 spinning rod with me.  If I fished T's I could see needing more.

You guys with the PT Boats have alot more deck space the the Pro Crappie boats....Im jealous, if tried to keep more than three rods on my deck I would step on em.

The crappie boats only have two small storage compartments ... :'(
