I have been waiting for some tackle from TW that was ordered in July. It has been listed on backorder and the dates for back in stock keep getting pushed back into spring. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed long delays in tackle orders? I know we had some pandemic supply chain issues, but it seems like an extra long wait compared to other similar things.

Just depends on the item. I waited months for Berkley Flat Worms, but they

finally arrived.

Follow up on your order, TW doesn’t ship back orders a item at a time unless your request it.

I had some shower blows that took 8 months to show up.  I had already picked one up locally.  Just a heads up, they send a warning email to cancel if you want, but it's the same day they'll ship it.  So you really have to be paying attention to your email, every single hour for months. :)

Dealt with this last winter. Was supposed to be a two week wait. I cancelled the order after five months and closed my account. Done with 'em.

Still waiting on Black Friday order from 2021

Ya - only time I'll order something from TW is when it's in stock. Their backorder policy is for the birds - nothing ships until everything is in stock.

I even tried what Tom suggested one time after 6 months of waiting - the reply I got was 'Our backorder policy is stated, we don't make exceptions'...so I canceled the one item that was still on backorder and they shipped the other two that had been in stock for 4 months out immediately.

That level of sleepy shipping would make me grumpy, and waiting on it sounds kinda dopey, (sorry, some Mickey Mouse thing about not working blue), I'll be here all week (maybe)... :)

In the past when I have ordered from them, it takes a week for them to even ship it.  And that's all items that are in stock.  Pre pandemic, pandemic, post pandemic, they are just slow.

Ditto what @gimruis said. TW is just flat slow on shipping.

Well, maybe you need to plan ahead a little better. I'm down to a year

of replacement line, so it's on order, but I am not concerned about the

delivery date.

Lol

That’s funny, but the right way to do it.

I ordered three lion strippers for Christmas presents for my buds in November last year. There were six in stock when I ordered three. Got a back order notification, and settled for Christmas in July. What an embarrassment.

I gave up on TW year before last. Their shipping times are terrible. If it were me, I'd cancel the order.

TW is like McDonald's and Wal-Mart. They'll always be #1 in their respected industry. But if Omnia is able to significantly improve their stock with the new move to a larger warehouse, they're gonna take away a lot of customers.

I'll always check Omnia first, but TW still blows them away when it comes to product availability.

Yes, some grubs I ordered took a few months to get here, they weren't even backorder but I guess the stock was damaged.

Man that’s a bummer. I know their shipping is slow. If I need something ASAP I will make the 35 minute drive to BP or cabelas. I never order anything back ordered from anywhere.

And of course an order I placed that showed 'In Stock' for all items...2 are now back-ordered...they can't even keep their inventory status up-to-date.

Last time I order from TW - I'll go FishUSA...never had these issues with them.

I contacted them and cancelled the one item that kept getting pushed back. The rest of my backordered items should be shipped out soon. Thanks

I only order what is in stock.  If TW is out of what I want then I start looking somewhere else.

When TW has new ICAST items on back order, don’t order it instead get the item wait listed.

Alternative is try another source like Fisherman’s Warehouse.
