So the wife and I went to an estate sale Friday where everything was literally free. My wife picked up an old hymn book from the 30s and found this old post card dated 1950.  I never knew Firestone had their name on an outboard, pretty neat!

I did a little looking, with inflation that’s the equivalent of $30.88 today. The average yearly income in 1950 was $3000.

very cool!!

 

last estate sale i lost my mind and bought a two man vintage crosscut saw.  seriously filed it under useless purchase.  i dont even have a barn that could use "Barn Art".

We are reselling to get by after I was almost killed at work and haven’t been able to work since. It’s a bit creepy going through people’s belongings but I have gotten used to it at this point. You never know what you will find, haven’t found much fishing gear though.

I'd be interested on how long the term was, and what interest rate was charged.
