Woody B Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 That's what they're saying here in NC also. I think they're calling for cold and snow across most of the south. Quote

txchaser Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Thursday it's dropping from 55 to 15. And then to 10 the next day.... in Texas. 10. God help us if frozen water falls from sky. Last weekend the water was back over 60 after touching the mid 50's for a bit. And to think I was hoping for a mild winter. Quote

Super User king fisher Posted December 18, 2022 Super User Posted December 18, 2022 I finished my 2022 bass fishing year Saturday on a lake high in the mountains. I brought a spinning rod along just in case I needed to try fineness in this mountain reservoir. The surface temp, was a chilly 62 degrees at daylight, and warmed up to 65 degrees mid afternoon. Kind of reminded me of ice fishing. Only thing I found to catch some largemouth with in this freezing water was a drop shot. Glad I brought the spinning rod. After the New Year, I plan on fishing a lower elevation lake that has a more reasonable water temperature, and leave the spinning gear at home. Quote
