what kind of lures and techniques would you use on a pond that is mainly all grass about a foot from the surface all over. Where would i start??

I agree with the above. There are so many things you can do when you're fishing submerged vegetation. Where you start will largely be an arbitrary decision since there are so many techniques. I'd start with something you have a lot of confidence in, then switch if it's not working.

For all grassy situations and i can attest, a great lure are any types of frog, esp. the yum buzz frogs, my fishing partner knocks em dead with these lures while im cleaning weeds of my baits, i use 6 inch worms texas rigged with small hooks so the lure does not sink right into the weeds, hope this helps
