Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 2, 2011 Super User Posted January 2, 2011 I'll make sure to keep it safe with the flag I'll probably go overkill when strapping it down. Thanks again guys! There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to safety. Especially when you're strapping something down in the back of a truck. I'd hate it if my boat fell out somehow. Just imagine if it fell out and another car behind you smashed into it. You could seriously hurt somebody like that. Better to strap it down a bunch and not have to worry about it. It only takes a few minutes and it can save you from having a bunch of problems. Mayhem happens. Quote
Gundy Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Just curious how some of you folks load your boat solo in the back of your truck? I've got a 9ft two man bass boat I acquired towards the end of last year and found it a serious pain to load by myself at boat ramps. I would have to push it up the ramp onto level ground, and lift one end into the truck then get on the other and shove it in the back of the truck. When I would get her home and clean my gear up I noticed that if I keep pushing up the boat ramps I am gonna rip through the bottom relatively quickly. And I am no sure how confident I am backing my truck down the ramp to just motor the boat into the bed of my truck level with the water.... Quote
