Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 14, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 14, 2022 It was still taught to us in the late 80’s early 90’s. I only use it to sign my name. I always had legible handwriting but nowhere near or nice. I have an excuse though, I’m left handed, and left handed people are know to have worse handwriting than right handed people. By the end of the school day my hand would have pencil lead or ink from dragging my hand through it all day. ? Quote
Super User Log Catcher Posted December 14, 2022 Super User Posted December 14, 2022 I learned cursive writing in elementary school. I gave up writing and paperwork when I retired. My handwriting used to be decent but now some days it is readable and some days not so much. I find it interesting about the computers when going to school. When I was in school if a kid got caught with a calculator they got sent to the principals office. These days they can't do anything without a computer. Quote
Way north bass guy Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Like most people on here, I was taught it in school. Mine wasn’t great, but most people would be able to read it. Nowadays I hardly ever write by hand, other than signing my name on a form or cheque, and it’s pretty atrocious. When we sold, then bought our new house last year we had to sign the typical 300 page documents at the lawyers office, and I’m certain every single signature I signed was completely different. They haven’t taken the house back yet, so I guess it was good enough ?♂️. 1 1 Quote
