So I've always used 4-6lb trilene XL or xt depending on what I'm presented with for cover. That said I'm always open to be recommendations. What is your preferred string for papermouths?

I've switched to Sufix Siege 4# and 6#.

I use Siege in 6 pound.  Trilene XL is ok too but Siege seems to be a little better line.  I don't have a specific panfish/crappie setup...I just use one of my medium action walleye rods with a size 1500 spinning reel on it.  I don't do enough panfishing to justify having a dedicated setup - I probably only go about 2-4 times/year, in the spring.

Only thing I’ve thrown for years - Power Pro micro line - 3, 4 or 5lb. test (yellow) depending on what you can still find. Use leader or not (4 or 6 lb.) based on personal preference. Caught over 5,000 crappie last year. Have made many a boat partner convert ?

5000? Holy sh$% dude...I can't even count that high. I've switched all my bass and walleye spinning rods over to braid...maybe ill switch my crappie rods over to.

My favorite so far has been varivas infinity 5.5lb, but I also like sufix nanobraid 3lb.

I use braid.  I’m partial to Power Pro white.  I normally use 8/1 but can’t find it so I bought 10/2.  It hasn’t made any difference.  I have tried it with and without leaders.  I can’t tell any difference so I ditched the leaders.

Either Stren or Trilene. Usually I like to use 6 lb, but sometimes I will go down to 4 lb.
