A kid from Canada Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 I want a ML spinning rod with a little flex. Does anyone have the Tatula Elite 7' rod? It says fast action and wondering if it feels a little stiff. Going to be throwing 1/4 oz cranks, small paddle tails, and dropshotting. Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted December 7, 2022 Super User Posted December 7, 2022 The 7'1 ML Tatula is a GREAT rod, especially at it's price point ($160 retail). 7 Quote
mrpao Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I will suggest the expride 7' light. Either A or B version would be good. I have both but like the handle on the A better. Quote

PaulVE64 Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I really liked the feel of the Curado. Quote
A kid from Canada Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 I've read that the Pyscho Sticks run on the stiff side. I'll look into the Expride, a couple other rods that have caught my eye are the Levante and Zodias lines. Quote

The ML is a description of power, and fast action is a description of action, where the rod initially bends when loaded. A fast action rod can have any power, from ultra light to heavy and beyond. I expect a ML (medium light) power is about what you are after. 1 Quote

Fuji K/SIC's and a 46T blank are hard to beat. 1 Quote
Super User MickD Posted December 11, 2022 Super User Posted December 11, 2022 I have never liked the location of the hook keeper where this rod has it. Puts the lure very near the hands, and when fishing the keeper contacts the hands at times. I've never found a better location than just in front of the front grip at 180 degrees. It would not be difficult to put one up front and remove the rear one if one wanted. I suggest trying it as is if you buy it You may like the location. Quote
