The Bruins wore the panthers down. That was very evident in the third period. Pretty good game all around.

I get up 3:30-4am everyday. It gets very hard to stay up to watch unless it’s a 5pm start time. I could never make some of your guys start times.

I agree, 2 central time zone teams shouldn't have to start at freaking 9pm.

Point in case last night, it wasn’t over until about 1am. I fell asleep in the 2nd period.

As long as J Monty stays off the bottle he’ll be fine. All he needs to do is not crash the Ferrari here.

Bruins fans, are you nervous yet?

This could be the biggest upset in league history brewing…

It sure is quite the series. Seems the presidents trophy is not the one to try for, that’s for sure.

Oh yeah, whoever wins tonight, we’re ready!

The presidents trophy seems more like a curse than an achievement.  The bruins set all kinds of records which is outstanding. Sadly, when it counted the most they constantly shot themselves in the foot. They never seemed to find their legs. The panthers weren’t the better team on paper. On the ice they were and that’s where it matters.

That was painful... 2 minutes left it looked like the Bruins would escape the series and move on to the second round. Reminds me of when the Warriors lost in the finals after having the best NBA season in history, but heck at least that was the finals and not the first round. This one will sting for a bit.

The leafs live to fight another day.

They’ve really not shown up to this series much until last night. Got a huge hill to climb, against a team that’s been running on all cylinders, and I’m not holding out much hope but it’d be a heck of a series if they can come back at least for another game or two.

The Blackhawks getting the top pick in the draft is a joke.  The NHL has screwed this one up royally.  Heck, they even showed the Ducks logo upside down on live TV.  #morons

Stars take a 3-2 series lead over Seattle!  The winner of game 5 after a 2-2 series tie goes on to win the series 78% of the time.

Obviously I had the Bruins cruising to a title and after the upset, had the Leaf's cruising to a title.

Panthers must be for real ?

Can’t feel bad about the bruins getting knocked out first round if the panthers end up in the finals.

I live in the heart of Flyers country but am a Bruins and Devils fan.

The Boston series was a disgrace seven ways to Sunday and for the Devils getting past NY it was great for them. A young fast team is fun to watch. Hope they can pull it together again for next season. Boston they need to clean house big time.

I’m rooting for the Kracken.

Congrats.  Kraken almost became only the 2nd team to make it to divisional in their 2nd year.  Nobody thought they'd be in the playoffs, let alone go this far.

They laid the gauntlet down and served notice!  Look out next season!

I like you am a Boston fan in the heart of flyers country.

With the way the panthers are playing it wasn’t a disgrace. It was a let down. There is no stat for heart, grit and determination. The panthers have all that right now. The panthers are playing d**n good hockey.

When you put up a regular season like the bruins there is no house cleaning needed.  You may never see a regular season like that as long as you live. I know Boston didn’t win the cup and that stings. It just proves how hard the cup is to win and how much of an honor it really is.

The cup is not easy to win and the game is so fast. Things change and the tide changes in a split second.

I’m impressed how well these new expansion teams have been doing for their short time in the league.

I don't get to see them play much being that most of their start times are 9pm where I am.  But they were a gritty, hard working team that certainly outperformed expectations, no doubt about it.  Taking down the defending champs and then taking the Stars to 7 games is impressive, especially as a second year expansion team.  I remember when Vegas made it all the way to the Finals their first year of expansion and lost to Washington.  This has to be second best behind that run as a new expansion team.

How long had the avalanche been a team when they won the cup?

panthers and jaguars both almost made the Super Bowl their first or second year, not sure why expansion teams are good out the gate
