Is there a baitcasting rod rated for  1/8-7/16oz lures besides the Cashion Icon? All the BFS stuff I've seen is rated for much lighter lures. My apologies for posting in the wrong forum, thanks for the move!

Yeah.  Phenix has a ml casting rod.  Many medium rods have softer tips ans can cast quite low.   What is "1/8 oz" to you?  A 1/8 weight and bait or a 1/8 oz crankbait?

I'd use it for anything in that range I could get away with. I've only ever used spinning gear for stuff that light, so I wanted to give it a try.

I have the Black Widow MBR 733, very sensitive, at first the carbon handle had me thinking this will be too slippery in my hands, but after using it a few times , I came to realize it actually serves as a mechanism to amplify vibration and sensitivity. Edge makes nice rods, just don't expect it to ship out right away.

Recommended that rod to Randy Smith?

A friend of mine changed out his NRX to Edge Black Widows during the current sale and......received them already!
