my wife and i dont typically put much into the Holiday gifting event.  we tend to just buy what we want anyways, within reason.

This year i paid a kid some cold hard cash to paint a portrait of my wife's dog.  cool dog, and the kid did a pretty good job.  has that modern art vibe, while still being my dog.  this could go one of two ways...really well, or horribly wrong.  hahaha...

i was gonna give her a custom bobble head of myself, but figured i should get a better sleeping couch first.  :D

We don't do alot usually either. Ill probably pick her up a little something but most of my cash is going towards home improvement stuff. We are getting new garage doors installed as we speak, plus I plan on having my brother in law do new flooring in our bathroom and new flooring\sink in our kitchen over the winter. I also plan on getting us a countertop ice maker.

It doesn’t matter what I get, it’s guaranteed failure haha. Learned that lesson a long time ago. I did hear her say two things she wanted, and I have them written down.  New LL bean slippers and a small hatchet for splitting kindling for the fireplace. She said she wanted those items, I will get them, and it will still be a fail. Such is life, and the sun will rise on December 26 haha

We decided to just buy something for the house for the both of us.
With the unspoken understanding that we wouldn’t get anything for the other individually.

Yeah Right!

Haha.  Which hatchet?  Something “boutiquey “ like a Gransfor Bruks?

99% sure my wife is getting me LLBean slippers.  She’s tired of me shoehorning my big feet into her tiny slippers.  :)

We put a strict price limit on ourselves this year because we’re saving for a big vacation next summer. I got her a little zen garden for her home office. I’m not completely sure, but I think she got me a framed photo of me with a good fish from

this year.

Was gonna say that if you stick to that I'm pretty sure you just signed your own death warrant.

You chose wisely, nice when you have a partner who sees eye to eye on the financial goals.   It's the number 1 reason for divorces.

My wife loves to cook and collects cookbooks. I found three cookbooks that she's been wanting and four new Our Place pots. They're the folks that run the ad's for the "Always Pan". I got her two last year and she loved them. Now she has the full set. I also got her a pair of Costa's.

If you enjoy cooking, I highly recommend the Always Pots and Pans. They aren't cheap, but they're really good.

I just ordered a gift for her - something sappy, sweet - I expect happy tears when she opens it.

We got that camper a few weeks ago that’s supposed to be our present to each other. It’s pretty cool and has been a learning experience. ?

I'm buying my wife a new Expresso coffee machine. She's mentioned it a couple of times. When were out somewhere that has them, I say, " why don't you buy one, go ahead, let's get one". She always says " no, I don't really need one". So, I'm buying her one for Christmas. Even after forty one years of marriage, women are still sometimes hard to figure out.

By this I assume you mean impossible?

Just bought my wife her “big Christmas gift” yesterday. She needed a new laptop for her job and her side job, so we bought a new MacBook Air. She’ll still get some small stuff at Christmas, but that took a pretty good bite out of the holiday budget ?

I ordered Mrs B some really nice jewelery.....but they mess up and sent fishing tackle.  I hate it when that happens.

The world is our oyster on the hatchet I suppose, I only looked at a couple so far

My wife probably wants to be buried with her LL bean  slippers

Carolann bought me a Shimano Chronarch when they first came out. Don't like that reel because I was used to Calcuttas. Took the reel back & exchanged it for a Calcutta 50A.

We came to an agreement,  I don't buy her jewelry & she doesn't buy me fishing tackle.

I buy what I want, she buys what she wants.
