Super User Darth-Baiter Posted November 28, 2022 Super User Posted November 28, 2022 i am imagining it with a roof rack and my Hobie Outback on top. 190 hp, and 50 mpg. win win!! i just got back from a Texas road trip. fuel was $2.75ish over there!! over here, it is more "nose bleed" levels. i think toyota hit it out of the park. 3 Quote

Chowderhead Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 Yeah, it has a nice look. We just test drove a 2023 Toyota Venza (hybrid) and think it will be the next daily driver for the family. Quote

I believe Ford has taken over that title but, at one time, you were correct. When I had my '08 Tundra in for service, on a few occasions I got a Prius loaner. Tons of room in the drivers seat for a big guy like myself. Tundra was in for warranty service probably a dozen times. The SuperDuty just had it's first repair done last week to replace the water pump at 75K. Nothing against Toyota, bad experiences with the Big 3 is what drove me to them. As of right now, when I get rid of the Ford in another 5-10 years, Ford will be my next choice Quote

Like you were saying Honda ranks up there. I found a list for specifically trucks, the Colorado was 1, the Ridgeline was top 5, Tundra was 6. Here’s the list I was referring to for overall vehicles. https://www.cars.com/articles/2022-cars-com-american-made-index-which-cars-are-the-most-american-451057/ 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted November 29, 2022 Super User Posted November 29, 2022 Prius is #1 on the list of most stolen catalytic converters here because of the valuable precious metals used to make them. If you own one, don’t park it anywhere. Quote

The catalytic converter in a hybrid will last longer than one in a gasoline powered engine. Odds are there will be more recyclable platinum in the Prius converter because it is used less. 1 Quote

Then buys a $300 fishing pole? I took a 15’ canoe to the Atlantic Ocean on a Honda fit, 30+ mpg. Might have saved 2-3$ if I stuffed it in the back with the hatch open like jed clampet pick your battles wisely (and close all car doors before shifting into drive) 1 Quote
