cdabelow Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I've been throwing a lot of jigs this season. I have been using a lot of Zoom trailers since many retailers have them and they are ok priced and have many different styles. Does anyone have another kind of trailer that they really love or at least having good luck with. I would like to be throwing something a little different from the next guy. Thank you Quote
Ky_Lake_Dude Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Luck E Strike makes a good jig trailer. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 19, 2007 Super User Posted August 19, 2007 Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws in 6 with 1 ½ cut off the tail Quote
Super User Hookemdown. Posted August 19, 2007 Super User Posted August 19, 2007 Baby Brush hogs.. "yum" trailers. And uncle josh's pork trailers Quote
GoBlue80 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I use the BPS tripple ripple craw trailer. I haven't really thrown jigs alot, but when i have the trailer does have alot of action. Quote
Rebbasser Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Brush hog, Paca Craw, Horny toad-there really isn't a plastic you can't use as a trailer. Quote
CK14 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 floating plastics are key IMO for jig trailers, so i use KGM custom baits shot craws most of the time. the fish just can't stand those claws standing straight up in their face. Quote
Super User David P Posted August 19, 2007 Super User Posted August 19, 2007 90% of the time I use Uncle Josh's Phantom Craw trailer, but lately I've been experimenting with Hula Grubs, beaver craws, and all that good stuff. So far, I have more confidence with pork, and have caught more fish, but only time will tell. Quote
senko_77 Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I really like the Paca chunk and the Zoom super chunk jr. Quote
island bassin Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I use hula grubs either with or without the jig skirt Quote
Crowcommander Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 Paca Craw chunks and Zoom Super Chunks are my personal favorite. A toothpick pushed across the front end and clipped off on both sides(resting behind the hook shank)seems to help these expensive little fellars hang on to catch another bass.Crowcommander Quote
Super User David P Posted August 19, 2007 Super User Posted August 19, 2007 I want to try those Sabertail 3" baits as a trailer, they look awesome, and flap on the fall. Anyone tried them? Quote
