The only thing 12poundbass and I will agree on today is that the Iron bowl is nowhere near as important as The Game.

People in the South just don't really follow Big 10 football, I suspect it's the same way for you guys with the SEC.    

 

Some guy moved down here from PA, and he started flying his Penn State flag months before the season started.....he literally took it down once they lost their first game ?

Yeah I suspect that is the case.   A few weeks ago I was more thrilled than I am now after his last two embarrassing performances.  

 

They should just sell their soul to the debil and get Urban Meyer.     He'll give them 5 years a title before a scandal breaks out and he's forced out lol.

That pretty much cements Michigan into the college football playoff, sending OSU to the Rose Bowl.  Iowa lost to a terrible Nebraska team yesterday, so if Purdue beats Indiana, they will play Michigan in the Big Ten Championship.  If Purdue loses, and Illinois beats Northwestern, the Illini will play Michigan in the Big Ten Championship.

 

I personally think that the Big Ten West is a bit of a joke but the best team is Illinois.  The Illini played a very close game last week at Michigan and lost on a late FG as time expired.

 

I don't claim to be a college football expert.  But even the casual fan can see that the best teams in the country reside in the SEC year in and year out.

 

My final four are: Georgia, Michigan, TCU, and USC.

I agree 100%. BUT, if Michigan can continue down the path they’ve been on the last two seasons, I’m hoping they can start recruiting players that would help Michigan compete with the top SEC teams.

Next year it will be better.  There is going to be a re-alignment with USC and UCLA joining the west.  I don't know which team(s) will be moving to the east.  Maybe Purdue and/or Indiana?

 

Additionally, the Big Ten Championship starting next season will feature the top two teams, regardless of division.  So ya, it could easily be OSU vs Michigan in the championship game too.

I'm glad honestly, but Auburn is just as screwed as they were before Harsin was hired.   Nobody wants to come there while Ole' Yellow Lumber and his money are calling the shots.

He's like Urban Meyer in terms of off the field type character without the National Championships or ability to coach at the top echelon.   Have no idea how he's had so many high-profile jobs in his relatively speaking short working life......besides a healthy dose of nepotism, and then what must be the best used car salesman's tongue.

 

9 million a year is ridiculous money, these HC salaries are increasing exponentially.   I remember Jimbo's mega deal just a few years back, he's middle class these days lol

Looks like Auburn is getting Hugh Freeze. Assuming that the reported rumor is true and he can get good assistant coaches, he'll get them back on track. Hugh's a good coach.

 

That Michigan vs Ohio State game was great! I'm a hardcore TN/SEC fan and didn't have a dog in the fight, but a good game is a good game! Great job Big Blue

Wonder how far OSU will drop and with the other big losses yesterday, will the committee put Saben in ??  They always seem to get in.
