Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 20, 2022 Super User Posted November 20, 2022 Well none of the top four ranked teams were very convincing this weekend. Michigan came from behind & barely won in the last 12 seconds. TCU also came from behind & only won in the last few seconds. Both Georgia & OSU won by very small margins considering the records of their opponents. And who believed Tennessee would lose by 25 points to South Carolina. USC barely beat UCLA to keep their playoff hopes alive. I think it's Georgia's championship to lose but the field will be somewhat cleared by this time next week. Go Bucks. 2 Quote

Super User gim Posted November 20, 2022 Super User Posted November 20, 2022 The winner of the UM/OSU game will remain in the top four, advance to the Big Ten Championship, and play in the college football playoff. The loser will end up in the Rose Bowl. Since the west portion of the Big Ten is trash, the Big Ten championship game will be a blowout. Right now that team looks like it will be Iowa. Quote
VolFan Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Tennessee‘a defense never got off the bus, and Rattler had the game of his life. Fun to watch for SC, not so much for me. Alas, I hope Hooker is ok; he’ll have some work on Sundays next year. 1 Quote

Do you think the loser of the OSU/U of M game gets knocked out of the top four? If it’s a blow out, I can see it. If it’s a close game, I don’t see it. TCU has had a few close games. Clemson got beat pretty good by ND. I just don’t see a number 2-3 team getting bumped if they lose to a 2-3 team. That being said, I am a bit worried about Michigan. Corum’s status is up in the air, their backup RB is out, their number two receiver hasn’t played the last two games although he dressed Saturday, and McCarthy’s accuracy flat out sucked yesterday! If it's a really close game & Michigan loses they are out but if OSU loses they "could" be still in per the talking heads based on strength of schedule. Michigan has only beat one top ten ranked team & Ohio State has beat two, Penn State & Notre Dame. Quote

I think a 1-loss SEC team would be higher ranked than a 1-loss Big Ten team. The computer would have to decide that though. Not me. 1 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted November 20, 2022 Global Moderator Posted November 20, 2022 so assuming TCU and Clemson win and Michigan loses, you think it would be, Georgia OSU TCU Clemson 1 Quote
Solution VolFan Posted November 20, 2022 Solution Posted November 20, 2022 Clemson has no business in that top four - I’d rather see LSU or two Big 10 teams Next weekend will be total chaos for sure though Quote
