I am a color nerd, meaning i like to have all the cool colors...but i realize it matters very little most of the time. I just ordered it and we will see how this sexy lil' thing works!? Is that a Black Viper Vision 110? Quote

papajoe222 Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 One of my better producing Spooks is their Black Shore Minnow. Other black hard baits that work well for me are a black Jitterbug and Colorado bladed spinnerbait. To be honest, I never thought about throwing a jerkbait in a low visibility situation, let alone a black one. It's always been a clear water presentation for me, although I could see where it'd be something productive in clear water under low light conditions. 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 21, 2022 Global Moderator Posted November 21, 2022 Duo Realis makes a black jerkbait in the 120SP size called "Midnight Black II". I may or may not have one with quite a few teeth marks on it. Low light conditions and dark water seems to be prime times for it but I'll break it out at times when I just want a big target for them also. https://duo-international.com/products/realis-jerkbait-120sp/ 2 Quote
Mr. Aquarium Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Black is a very natural color. Almost all bait fish species have some black in its pattern 2 Quote

Nobody in there right mind would throw black in water that clear. Exactly! Seriously though, when the gills are dark/muted this color is a big winner. 1 1 Quote

I'm certain I will end up with one someday. Quote

GetFishorDieTryin Posted November 23, 2022 Posted November 23, 2022 I dont why know black isn't as commonly popular in the LMB community when it comes to sub surface hard baits. In the surf casting its completely different. Even in the daytime just about every surf bag has a tube with at least 1 black or blurple bomber, SP minnow, redfin, Hydro Minnow and or Mag Darter. 1 Quote
