looking for a lure made in 2001, Lucky Craft combat ssr in chartreuse shad. Not the fat or flat or classical leader. Any help would be great.

Do you have a picture of it?

I definitely have some of the LC and old Evergreen Combat Cranks, I doubt I have any in the SSR depth and no idea on colors. If I remember I will look when I get home.

I assume you've scoured Ebay and places like Ichiban?

Just checked and what I have is the Classic Leader.

Yeah that's a tough one, they were getting hard to find 10 years ago when I was buying them. I have a handful of LC Combat Cranks and the OG Evergreen Combat Cranks that I think are basically the same bait but I don't have any in SSR.

I had a few of those. Great bait. Ghost minnow was my favorite color.

Not sure of an exact replacement but the Manns 1-minus come to mind. I would replace the hooks but not a bad bait. In Lucky Craft, there is the LC SSR but it's a different profile.  One other I like, if you want a loud bait, is the Megabass Over Rev Crank. It's a one knocker that stays right at the surface.  It's bigger than the SSR but will cast a mile.

So I looked around today for awhile and could not find any. Check out the Evergreen Combat SSR as it looks like the exact same bait.

Have you tried Facebook?

Get some epoxy and circuit board material and make your own.

The baits on the right are a mixture of LC and Evergreen Combat Crank SR’s, the baits on the left are LC CB 100’s which are very similar but slightly different. No SSR’s though. Sorry for the crappy pic

This is the best I can find? Get a good painter to stip the green off, repaint the back, use a highlighter down the side, and clearcoat.

I cannot believe I never heard of this bait being the LC aficionado that I am.

What about new modern replacements like the Megabass ORC burning shad?  It’s close.

Or the OSP Buzzin Crank?
