Looking to invest in a cart to make my life easier transporting my Lure 11.5 around. I fish a lot of bodies of water that don't have true boat launches and it's just a dirt path or one covered in tree roots from my car to the water and the "wheel in the keel" can only do so much.

I've got a $100 Amazon gift card so something on there would be great, but I'm open to anything.

Thanks!

The 800lb gorilla in the room as far as kayak carts go is the C-Tug. A buddy of mine uses it and swears by it. Here's the one I used with my SeaStream Angler 120, which is fairly similar to the FF Lure 11.5: https://www.amazon.com/TMS-CART-CANOE-KAYAK-KY001-Carrier-Trolley/dp/B0082365AQ/ref=sr_1_8?crid=3EN50YPVDBTS3&keywords=kayak+cart&qid=1668620553&sprefix=kayak+cart%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-8

I've launched mine everywhere from actual boat launches to random holes in the middle of the woods and it performed wonderfully.

I use a Sea-to-Summit scupper cart for transporting my Lure longer distances.

I’s a decent cart, but the poly wheels don’t go through soft sand very well.

Do yourself a favor and buy a good one. I bought a cheap one from Academy to haul my Bonafide SS127 on and it was useless. I recommend a C-Tug. You may find a deal during the black Friday sales.

The Wilderness System cart that @A-Jay recommends is the best out there for anything longer than 100 yards. It’s a great cart.

I too did the exact same thing. However, I couldn’t get the ctug adjusted correctly for my 127. I wound up buying a Malone at cabelas for like $170(?) that has adjustable bunks. It fits my 127 much better now.

Just did some digging and someone is selling a Best Marine Cart which looks very similar to the Wilderness systems one for $75 on Marketplace, retails for $150. Only about 30 min away from me.

The C-Tug will probably be my next option to try if this for some reason falls through.

Appreciate all the responses guys.

That ought to be a good one.  The C-Tug gets good reviews as well.

I bought a cheap $30 one off of Amazon.  It didn't work too well at first, as the kayak would twist around on it.  If I hit a bump, I'd have to stop and realign it.  The shape of the hull just didn't align with the top bars.  However, I bought a pair of PVC pipes, some bolts, and a pool noodle, and basically turned it into a clone of the Malone Paddle Gear WideTrack ATB cart, by drilling some holes and bolting two padded crossbars across the top.  It works great now!  And a lot cheaper, all told, than the other options out there.  It's got nice air-filled tires as well, which really help with sand.  However, there are a few hours of DIY involved, which while easy to do, is something not everyone will be interested in, even if it saves a few bucks.

My inclination is to avoid any that attach through your scupper holes.  Not only will it introduce unnecessary wear onto a structurally delicate part of your kayak, but I imagine it would be hard to load and unload a fully loaded kayak onto one by yourself.

I tried something like that with my Seastream Angler 120 PD and I hated it. Of course, I had a steep grade, twisty sidewalk to navigate up and down. I bought a C-Tug and I love it.

To the OP, whichever cart you get, make sure you experiment with the placement. Get it near the center of gravity and it's much easier to pull. Too far back and you'll feel the weight.

Appreciate this ??
