My troller has been broke for a while, tired of carrying dead weight. Anyone ever removed a minn kota maxxum from the mount? It ain’t budging

Thanks mick, I tried a few videos and the guys were talking about how nice of a day it was and blah blah and different model and not about removing them.  I hadn’t checked back until now after I got it loose and didn’t see your video 

 

the pins were just really hard to knock out, may have lost hearing

I’ve still got the mount on the boat, that’s going to be another half day bloody knuckle project but at least now I can tow it down the road and fish . Might just leave the mount to advertise for minn kota hahaha

I was thing about that but I’m not even sure I can get the blade anywhere to cut them. The screw heads are recessed

I haven’t tried much yet, just a bigger Phillips and trying to hold the hex nut underneath with a recessed wrench (with my other hand) and failing
