I use a split ring whenever I want to walk the dog.Makes it much easier.

I have never worried much about tying a loop type of knot on my hard baits, and it may have affected my fishing. However, this idea makes a LOT of sense to me and I am surprised I haven't thought of it before.

Thanks for this advice that I WILL use!
