Buzzbaiter Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I was planning a trip down south for thanksgiving weekend. I was wondering if the water down in the Chattahoochee (I was thinking about fishing around Bull Shoals WMA for shoalies and redeyes) is warm enough to wade. Sorry if I sound dumb, I’m just a silly northerner who hasn’t fished in that part of the world before if it is too cold, what would be my next best option? I would like to catch some of the riverine species in Georgia, but I’m also willing to compromise. I just want to catch some bass; trout fishing in Maryland gets old pretty quickly lol Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted October 31, 2022 Global Moderator Posted October 31, 2022 They actually stock some trout in there so I’m guessing it’s pretty cold. If you mean November like tomorrow, you could get away with it. I would definitely take waders Quote
Alex from GA Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I saw this too late but November is usually the line for wet wading in the Chattahoochee. I fish there all summer with a kayak and usually get out and wade. You'll catch Shoal Bass, Alabama Bass and if you're lucky a Chattahoochee Bass, that used to be called redeyes and maybe a LM also. 2 Quote
