Super User DitchPanda Posted October 28, 2022 Super User Posted October 28, 2022 For you guys fishing channel cats...what water temp seems to be the cutoff in the fall? I've been focusing on walleye and sauger mostly with a few days of bass mixed in here and there. Wondering if catfish would still be worth targeting. My local water temps are high 40s/low 50s from what I've heard. Quote
Eric 26 Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 In fisherman television (I believe)has episodes of them targeting channel cats both through the ice and in the rivers in fall/early winter. If not in fisherman tv I know I’ve watched it on another show. Hopefully this helps. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 28, 2022 Global Moderator Posted October 28, 2022 Yeah you can knock them dead right up until it ices up and even through the ice if you want. Deep holes are good unless you get a shad kill, then it's the wind blown banks. They'll get in a foot or two of 40* water if the food is there. Quote
