Just got my flyer. Good price, might have to get me another.

Heck, I gave 700.00 for a used one four weeks ago. Mine did, however, have the HDSI transducer off the larger unit with it.

ffd, the HDSI transducer is usually used with the 798 as part of the remedy for trolling motor interference since it has internal shielding. It fixed mine.

I still use the Compact SI transducer when I use the 798 on the console though.

The HDSI transducer gives a somewhat sharper image but the 798 cannot use the 800 khz capability it has. The 798 is 455 khz only for SI.

Thanks Wayne, just proves the point that I am a new user. Still lots to learn. While I'm at it i want to thank you for all the info and other helpful hints you sent me over on the other site. Very interesting reading to say the least.

My only regret is paying for the preloaded maps. The map cards are much better at least on toledo bend. Good unit though. If mine broke...I would buy another.
