CB whip antenna 102" I remember driving to TX with my grandfather in the late 70's. My uncle and cousins moved from Chicago to Austin. Poppa had a CB radio in the 1976 Pontiac LeMans That LeMans eventually became mine. That LeMans became famous in Smokey and the Bandit. The one in the movie was a 77. Mine was a 76 1 Quote

Super User Hammer 4 Posted October 22, 2022 Super User Posted October 22, 2022 Best friend bought a 65 GTO, $ 3200.00 out the door, and that's with options. 1 Quote

There’s always been confusion about which car the GTO was based on as they we’re basically the same car. On my 65’s original Build Sheet and Billing and History Card, the GTO option code for the Tempest is #382 for cars built at the Pontiac Mich plant. For cars built at the Kansa City and Baltimore plants the code could be different. The GTO didn’t become its own model until ‘66. Since in 64 and 65 the GTO package was an option, they were/are one of the most cloned cars. That’s why anyone interested in buying one of those years, investing in a complete build history from the Pontiac Historical Society is a must. Mike 2 Quote

The biggest shock to my boys & their friends when they talked to me about muscle cars was when I told them most muscle cars were in fact family cars with performance packages. Momma told me to change the plugs, points, & condenser in her Galaxy 500. I did, I yanked the distributer & went back with high performance. After she drive it, she looked at me & grinned. 2 1 Quote
