I've tried both foam (the zipper kind where you can add/remove foam) and bamboo pillows.  While the bamboo is better, it's still not firm enough for me.  My neck and back are sore and sometimes I wake up with numb hands/arms. I'm watching this thread because I'm in the market for something better.

I won't buy a My Pillow. That dude is a nutcase, and I don't mean that kindly.

If the bamboo pillow wasn’t firm enough then I think your next option would be to go to Home Depot and grab some 2x12 and nail them together. ?

My bamboo pillow wasn’t stiff as a board but it wasn’t too far behind.

I have lots of old bricks that I tear out of chimneys I’m rebuilding. Send me your addresses and I’ll ship as many out as you need for free ( you gotta pay shipping for them though)?

I'm using some kind of firm pillow from Wal Mart. My wife bought a My Pillow several years ago at Wal Mart and hated it. The foam filling would get piled up together and it felt like you were sleeping on rocks.
