For the past two months I've been having neck pain. So I'm ready to bite the bullet and looking to buy a nice pillow. I'm thinking a good down pillow is the route I want to go. I'm a back and side Sleeper.

So what pillows are you guys using and recommend? Thanks!

Laugh if you will, but I bought a "My Pillow" due to back and neck pain. Works well for me. I had never purchased anything off of an ad like that before, and to be honest I didn't expect much. I would gladly buy another one.

Side & back sleeper here.

Been using the same Tempur-Pedic Contour Neck Pillow,

for I think 15 years.

May be longer.

Considered replacing it may times but really bad user reviews

of the updated version have held me back.

May ride this one to the end.

Either way it was & has been a game changer for my sleep quality.

Pillows are a personal thing.  I've got a my pillow but it was way to thick to suit me even after crushing it down to "adjust the fill".  Mrs. B cut it open, removed some of the filling and sewed it back together.  It's perfect now.

Also, get an adjustable bed if you don't already have one.  (this is for everyone)

I dunno where she got it - but the wife got me one that's like a My Pillow...but it has a zipper on one end so it's easy to take out/put in the memory-foam pieces. I put in all the extra they sent with...I think I gotta order some more filling though...still a little soft for me.

I have arthritis in my neck and it pinches a nerve causing my fingers to go numb and pain  . I got a pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond that is tapered , thinner in the middle , thicker on the edges . It has helped tremendously .

I bought a shredded memory foam pillow on Amazon that was like $40 or so. The zippered ones that let you add/remove filling. It's been great.

Ya - that's the one the wife bought for me.

I bought a memory foam pillow in the philippines that has neck contour from thick on one half and thinner on the other.

Its made in japan, may have to go back to the philippines to get another one.

I also could go to the Mattress King in town here that made our foam mattress in house to our spec and have them cut out an exact duplicate of my pillow.

I had a bamboo pillow for a few years that I liked most nights. The wife hated hers. We now have down pillows and they are pretty nice!

When we went to the UP this summer, the hotel we stayed at had the My Pillow and we were both pretty impressed.

When wife and i spent a few days in wisconsin this year the hotel pillow was so stuffed that i walked over to the goodwill store a block away and bought my own pillow, problem solved.

Most hotels I’ve stayed at over the years I’ve woken up with a stiff neck or sore from head to toe.

I tried bunch of different pillows…. Eventually ended up with my wife getting a “numbers bed” WOW!  What a difference.

I'm more of a flat pillow kinda guy.  My wife uses the fluffy ones, and 2 or 3 of them.  I don't know how people can sleep with their head tilted up.

The My Pillow guy is a bit of a nut job...the FBI seized his personal cell phone recently while he was eating lunch in Mankato.

I fall asleep watching TV on the couch a lot, and sleep at my brother's and other fishing and Navy buds a lot, so I could throw a hoodie over a cider block and be fine.

I bought a down pillow about a year ago, and haven’t regretted it at all. The comfort level is far superior than any other pillow that I’ve had.

I like a firm pillow.  When my head starts sinking into it, then it's time for a change.

I’m in this club, as long as it’s above water I’m good

I definitely prefer a thin one if I had a choice, but I can sleep on the floor with nothing at all

I've tried both foam (the zipper kind where you can add/remove foam) and bamboo pillows.  While the bamboo is better, it's still not firm enough for me.  My neck and back are sore and sometimes I wake up with numb hands/arms. I'm watching this thread because I'm in the market for something better.

I won't buy a My Pillow. That dude is a nutcase, and I don't mean that kindly.

Same for me. I have a closet full of pillows that never worked for me..

While I do agree Mike is a little over the top, I'm much more concerned about my comfort than someone's politics.

Exactly why I went with a knock-off - will not give that man any of my money.

Several other places I won't shop for reasons.

Its a little more that just that though.  The freaking FBI seized his personal cell phone for involvement in the Jan 6 riots.  Would you endorse a product if the head of the company was associated with criminal/terroristic activity?  I d**n sure wouldn't, even if the product was comfortable.

If he was actually convicted of a crime, I would agree 100%. He's not even been charged with anything to my knowledge. Before retiring from my law enforcement career, I've helped investigate plenty of people that it turned out really didn't do anything illegal at all. You do realize that even the F.B.I. don't always get it right don't you? We'll have to see what comes of the investigation.

Any way, I bought my "My Pillows" long before any of that. They work well for me.
