I searched around the forum a little bit for this subject. Usually when it was brought up, people recommended something else.  But I happen to own one already.

What is it happiest doing?  I find it quite heavy.  Max drag 13.2 lbs. Relatively large line capacity.  30 lb. braid, 190 yards.  I'm thinking punching and frogs?

Thanks.

I don't own that reel but to me it's more of a swimbait/a-rig reel just based on line capacity. That doesn't mean that you couldn't use it for punching, cranking or frogging it's just going to be bigger and heavier than what is needed for those techniques. I'm sure it's a great reel though, try it out and see what you think.

Its really happy throwing 3/4oz and up to 3.  A rigs, big super deep cranks, big topwaters, swimbaits and beast hook paddle tails.

Carolina Rig rod.  I love mine, tons of 20lb Abrazx and plenty of oomph to reel in the 1000 miles of Line with a toad on the end.
