This happens every year out there. And on Lake Superior. 200 people are stuck on a floating ice sheet. When they get rescued, they aren't allowed to take their gear back either. That map indicates 3.8 in Plymouth and 5.7 in Maple Grove and I'm kind of right in between those. Every snowflake or rain drop will be beneficial in the long run for the drought. Hard to tell we're still in an extreme drought status right now. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted December 1, 2022 Super User Posted December 1, 2022 25* today, supposed to be mid 50's tomorrow and Friday Quote

Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted December 1, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 1, 2022 40’s yesterday, 29 today with 35 mph wind gusts that put the windchill in the mid teens. That wind was absolutely brutal and chewed right through me. ? Quote
The Bassman Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 So I notice today that the long range maps keep moderating from previous forecasts. Guess I'm watching too many U-Tube meteorologists that keep the clicks coming on drama. I'm getting stronger and more mobile every day from my surgery, have no schedule, so I guess I'm going to have to fish. Tough life, huh? Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted December 11, 2022 Super User Posted December 11, 2022 Callin for 5+ inches today. I have about 35 houses on the schedule so I’ll be working all night. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted December 12, 2022 Global Moderator Posted December 12, 2022 Bout 60 degrees here . Sitting on the dock watching catfish rods Quote
Super User gim Posted December 12, 2022 Super User Posted December 12, 2022 Gonna be a rough week in the Dakotas. Highways will be shut down for days there. 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted December 12, 2022 Super User Posted December 12, 2022 Our forecast is rain\freezing rain with temps right around or below freezing for the next 2 days with wind gusts up to 40mph-Transitioning to snow Wednesday Thursday . Totals for snow for us look only like 2-3 inches but icy roads and high winds blowing the snow will make for some fun driving conditions. Quote
Super User gim Posted December 14, 2022 Super User Posted December 14, 2022 They will be measuring snow in feet on the north shore when this is done. Buffalo, NY style. I got some rain, then some sleet, followed by an inch of the heavy wet heart attack snow last night. I tried snow blowing it, and it came out like ketchup. Guess it will be the shovel today instead. 2 Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted December 14, 2022 Super User Posted December 14, 2022 We are being predicted my favorite….ice. Tomorrow. Just so happens I have to go pick the wife up from the airport. That’s a 60 mile + round trip. ? Quote

Super User gim Posted December 15, 2022 Super User Posted December 15, 2022 The local weather station just NW of Two Harbors, MN has reported 27 inches of snow as of 9:25am central time. I've probably got another 2-3 inches here and its the heavy wet crap that is miserable to try and move. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 15, 2022 Super User Posted December 15, 2022 Well, you guys need the moisture, so there is some upside. 2 Quote

Super User TOXIC Posted December 15, 2022 Super User Posted December 15, 2022 We lucked out here in northern Virginia but not by much. Ice line about 20 miles up towards the mountains from me. Good deal because I have to go get the wife from the airport in about an hour. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted December 16, 2022 Super User Posted December 16, 2022 Finally getting into what for this neck of the woods is a normal December winter weather pattern. 8 out the next 10 days include snow. Some days more, some days less. But the air temps are such that whatever we get, will most likely be around for a while. Living in northern Michigan and "we like it that way." #tracybird A-Jay 2 Quote
