That's about 3.5hrs south of me...but it was 83 here today. Got storms rolling in around 5am tomorrow and forecast of 3 days of rain and thunderstorms.

Well on wednesday we found fat head minnows in Valley City to use at Baldhill dam so that was great. What wasnt so great was the dam was a rushing turbulent blown out mess of chocolate water so after packing all our gear down to the rivers edge we headed back up after 30 minutes.

Lake Ashtabula which the dam holds back was still frozen as far as the eye could see. I read the dam reports on water flow and guage height but i never fished Baldhill in the spring so i just had to see for myself, duhhhh.

The minnows are in the freezer in a container of cheap vodka. It looks like i will have to buy a minnesota license and go catch crappie at our favorite crappie hole for the next month.
