They’re just using that to sharpen their teeth so that can eat through the rest of the house?

Is that squirrel related to this rabbit in any way?

Massive winter storm will be moving through this week.  Luckily, to the north of me.  @throttleplate looks to be right in the bullseye.  Maybe he will provide an update later.

Thank you for having that gorgeous gal in the fore-ground so we could ignore the back-ground. ;)

Were you trying to re-create this?  Didn't work....

I have to imagine that Minnehaha Creek may flood in some areas.  Although right now there doesn't appear to be any big rain makers next week that compound the problem.

Temps in the mid 80s next week in Saratoga County, NY. We only had thaw within the last week. Spring and fall seem like they are going extinct. We go from subfreezing to summer weather in the spring and then fall goes from 90 degrees in September to skim ice by October.

I hate this.  Spring and fall are my two favorite seasons and they seemingly sometimes last just a few weeks, or less.  Its either cold and snow or heat/humidity and drier than a cork here lately.

I thinking right by Methodist Hospital...creek runs through the SW corner of their property and they have a boardwalk winding through the low-lands surrounding the water course.

Was 87 here yesterday, sleet today.  Nothing left to do but go fishing tomorrow.  Hopefully the big girls are just as confused as I am.

This is what i am watching, If you look at the streamflow from 2022 compared to 2023 exactly a year later you see that the massive snow still on the ground hasnt come close to melting and running into lake Ashtabula which is controlled by Baldhill dam.

Sheyenne River Below Baldhill Dam, ND - 05058000
April 1, 2023  Streamflow, ft³/s
60.4 ft3/s - Apr 01, 2023 05:15:00 PM CDT
433 ft3/s - Apr 01, 2022 05:15:00 PM CDT

High 70s to mid 80s here in NY as well. The last bit of skim ice should be gone everywhere except the higher altitudes. Already got out yesterday and water was open except for the coves.

Gonna take a bit here - yesterday when I ran out for an errand, saw only a bit of melting along the shorelines.

Apparently even though its 85 degrees here today, winter isn't over yet.  There is a chance of snow in the forecast on Sunday.
