I remember the discussion last Fall about drought and if we’d ever catch up… Looks like we have!

Isn't that something?  Not a drop of moisture for 2 whole months and a deficit of over a foot since last June.  And then the winter of 2022-2023 erased all of it.

I’d like to see the look on mother natures face when we mere humans are always so concerned. I bet she thinks it’s cute and gets a kick out of it

Up here She's saying to us, "You thought it was Spring? Ha! Have some more winter, foolish mortals."

Massive winter storm will be moving through this week.  Luckily, to the north of me.  @throttleplate looks to be right in the bullseye.  Maybe he will provide an update later.

IMPACTS: Taken from WDAY storm tracker at 9.30 pm monday.

This system has the potential to be the most impactful snow storm that we have seen all winter. Most of the area will receive more that 8″ of snow. Many places could receive 1 - 1.5 FEET of snow, and some places could see up to 2 feet or even a bit more than that.  As a result of this much snow and the strong winds, we will have significant region-wide travel disruptions, both on the ground and in the air. We could see power outages, snow drifts over 12′ high, long lasting blizzard conditions. All of these impacts will become dangerous to people, pets, and livestock across the area.

The Bobcat will come out to play tuesday evening and again wednesday.

Not that type of Bobcat, this bobcat is a 1 owner 1975 walk behind snow thrower. Dad bought it brand new in 1975. She doesnt want to operate it, she still loves her snow shovels.

We got one more little dip with some snow predicted for later today into tomorrow - but less than an inch.

Lots of melting going on, the 6" we got a couple days ago is already almost gone.

They're looking at near 60 this weekend.

More rain, thunderstorms, wind, warmth. I’m really thinking about launching the boat this weekend and hitting a small lake. A little easier to knock the rust off that way. ?

“Winters” are pretty nice in a tropical rainforest, minus the flooding

Monday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. South wind 10 to 15 mph.

Good for melting snow and ice, but not good for flood outlook.  This is exactly the scenario they wanted to avoid.

They’re just using that to sharpen their teeth so that can eat through the rest of the house?
