what a giant body of water!!  I imagine myself bobbing around in that monstrosity of a lake in my kayak, and it is daunting.  I am thinking of launching near Catfish Beach and fishing that end, but trust me when I say..I could almost throw a dart for my starting point.  I have ZERO intel.  none of my friends are willing to venture that far.  Me?  a hotel room so I can sleep and dream about giant California Smallmouth bass.  I can do this/

can anyone help me on some info?  not sure I can sneak off this year but next last spring, I am going.  the lake looks amazing.

Lots of good water that time of year, but it will be hard to beat the eastern shoreline for numbers and a chance to run into some giants. There are a few hotel options in Chester with others sprinkled around the lake. Great place to visit and a real eye opener to see how much of the surrounding area was torched by the Dixie fire.
