Anyone using subject rod line and have any feedback? These have caught my eye but I don’t have any dealers close by (that I’m aware of) that carry these. I’ve been watching a few of Randy’s videos on YouTube and he seems to give high praise to these.

I’d be using it as a Texas rig / jig rod. The Perfect Pitch seems to tick all the boxes for the applications I’m planning on using it for. It’s only October and the bait monkey is already on my shoulder which is not going to be good for my pocketbook during hard water season.

I am a big megabass fan.  Most of my Orochi XX's have been traded-in or sold.  Including the perfect pitch.  I bought it at the same time I purchased the brailist.  I found them both to be very heavy and the braillist unenjoyable to fish with.  They have top notch in build quality and are beautiful rods.  I still use and love the jerkbait special and the ronin.

The ALX toadface is honestly more enjoyable to fish for anything I would fish the perfect pitch for and it is cheaper.  Not as pretty though.  if you are willing to spend more the Steez AGS power pitch is incredible for the same applications.

I have the perfect pitch rod with a 20 met b on it with 16lb daiwa j fluorocarbon hidden concept line, I have used the rod for Texas rigs and jigs, including swim jigs. The rod is extremely sensitive and I feel it was well worth the price. I would say that it’s just as if not more sensitive than my glx, as a reference I use to own 2 conquest, 844, 843mbr, three nrx plus rods, 894 jwr, 873 crr, 853 jwr and I have a st croix legend xtreme and I feel that the perfect pitch is right on point with all of them. I hope this helps and good luck.

Only have one Megabass...the Orochii XX Diablo Spec R Gen1.  It has a 50th Anniversary Zillion on it.  Balance point is at the bulge on the cork lock down.  I don't find it heavy.  My Toadface has a Daiwa SV103 on it and balances about 1/2-5/8 inch behind the hook keeper which puts the balance point around 1-1/4 to 1-3/8 in front of the lock down....which is shorter and smaller than the Orochii.

Personally I enjoy fishing both as they are a couple of my nicer rods.  Neither have seen a lot of use as 1) I haven't fished much the past 4 years, and 2) I have too many rods/reels and try to rotate them so all eventually get used at least once.  Although not in the same year.  Wished I fished enough that all got used at least once a year.  :D

I suppose at 8.3 oz. the 50th is too heavy for most people to fish all day.  Good thing I have decent stamina.  :rofl_red:

EDIT:  At 7.8 oz. the SV103 is lighter, but still too heavy by today's standards.

some of them i like some i dont. in have a shakey head spinning rod that i really like and an EMTF that i really like for shallow to medium divers. i looked at a braillist but it seemed a little tip havy to me. thats just personal preference. they do seem sensitive and have beautiful cosmetics.i bought all of mine when they were 299 at 349 idk i feel like for a few more dollars i can get better rods. but the good thing is they have a cult following so if you dont like it you could easily sell it for a minor loss.

I actually got a Brailist yesterday. I haven't fished it yet but it feels like it will be a nice t-rig/finesse jig rod. The balance point with a Zillion is an inch in front of the locking nut, not too bad for a 7'5" rod. The craftsmanship is flawless which is on par for all the Megabass rods I've ever handled. It's definitely not as light as the P5's but I got it on sale for $244 so it was a no brainer.

I ran a Brailist for 2 years before moving into a 873crr. I actually prefer the 7’5 length for jigs, and the sensitivity was good enough I never missed fish.

If you’re into spinning, the Whipsnake is a fun rod. You can use it was a Ned and Drop shot rod, as well as small jerks, small cranks etc.

Not a fan of the gen2 XX line. The whipsnake is an awesome rod though in the levante and gen2 orochi xx. Others Feel kinda clunky and hate the reel seat. Love the gen1 XX and even more so the destroyer P5.
