Cbump Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Won a Mike Iaconelli signed Revo spinning reel. I don’t typically seek out or care about autographs but now that I have It, would you put It away in the box or just use It like any reel? I’m leaning to just using It. I doubt the fact that he’s signed the box makes It worth more but he is a Classic winner… 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 I say fish it. If you don't like the reel, put it back in the box. 3 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 I'd use it. It might cause you to act like a fool when you catch a fish though. 2 1 13 Quote
Super User bulldog1935 Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 Seems like you gotta at least try it - it's in the top 3 spinning reels Abu offers. 3 Quote
NavyToad Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 You can always have a shadowbox made for it and hang it in the man-cave. I wouldn’t do it, but other than using it I don’t know what else you could do with it. 2 Quote
garroyo130 Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Is there a market for fisherman autographs? Quote
thunderblack Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Fish it! Cool that its signed but fish it. I'm wearing my signed jordans right now 1 Quote
Super User bulldog1935 Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 I figure this doesn't help the value - the value is in the reel itself, but Don's signature could make the difference in someone choosing it over a different example. 6 Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 Keep it new in box and sell it in 5 years for 1/2 price you paid for it. Tom 1 1 17 Quote
MidwestBassAttack Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Use it……but only if you scream like a homeless crackhead every-time you hook one 1 Quote
Cbump Posted October 8, 2022 Author Posted October 8, 2022 Do homeless crackheads often scream a certain way? Quote

Super User king fisher Posted October 8, 2022 Super User Posted October 8, 2022 If he hits over 70 home runs in a season without using steroids' don't use it. If he doesn't pick up a bat, and keeps his day job, use the reel. 1 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted October 8, 2022 Super User Posted October 8, 2022 Sell it at full price and buy Daiwa ??? 2 Quote

Woody B Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Use it. If it weren't for bass resource I wouldn't know who Mike Iaconelli is. I suspect that most fishermen are like me in that respect. Quote

Super User WRB Posted October 10, 2022 Super User Posted October 10, 2022 Being signed by Laconelli you 1st verbally abuse it before using it. Tom 3 Quote
Captain Phil Posted October 10, 2022 Posted October 10, 2022 I own a bunch of autographed fishing stuff. My wife allows me to use our extra bedroom to display all my junk. Books, hats, rods and a reel or two. The walls are covered with mounted fish, plaques, photos and trophies. Each one has a special memory of when I acquired it. None of it has any value to anyone but me. When I die, I am sure it will all be in the dumpster. ☺️ 1 1 1 Quote

I'm an active member of this site and I have no idea who he is.. or care.. unless you're a fan use the reel and hopefully you like it and catch some big ones. 1 Quote
