padon Posted October 5, 2022 Posted October 5, 2022 i catch way more fishing slow. jigs, worms ned etc. i dont know if its because alot of our waters are clear and pressured or what. some days they will blast a spinnerbait or bladed jig but alot of times they wont. maybe its just a confidence thing. ive been trying to fish power techniques more to get better at it. 2 Quote

Super User WRB Posted October 6, 2022 Super User Posted October 6, 2022 Bass go through changes in activity level hourly from being very active, active, neutral, inactive and very inactive. About 20% or 5 hours out of 24 hours bass are very catchable with several lures and presentations. About 20% bass are more difficult to catch and don’t case down prey or lures, slower is better. 60% of the time bass very difficult to catch when inactive. If you use only faster moving lures you are targeting about 20% of the bass population. Slower lures both the very active and neutral behaving bass are catchable, about 40% of the bass population or double your odds. Wasting time trying to catch inactive bass or about 60% of the bass population is the difference between a good and being skunked. Tom 2 Quote
