I don’t even want to give mine away, that’s mean to other people

I’m going to try to get all mine stuck and break them all off at sunrise

Dang!  Ambitious!  They are fairly snagfree. :)

Lots of praise for Spinnerbaits and for good reason.

Each year I'd say that 75% of the fish I catch are on Spinnerbaits.

Has been my #1 bait for many years.

If you lose yours I've got two or three that I reckon I could lend you. They're up in the top of my office closet in the lure tomb. ?

Skunked from sunrise til now, argh. I might just accidentally tie some bad knots and throw them into orbit

I bet I would have caught 6-8 with a worm, always do. Life may be a tad too short for spinnerbait

Always a lot of love for spinnerbaits here, justly so. I found that painted blades are good in clear water. And you can jump the gun with the hookset, I try to let the fish load on to the rod a little before I set the hook. I am usually fishing a steady retrieve, speed based on where I want the bait in the water column.

I finally took off my painted blades because the water was clear, figured shiny would be better. Sunny slightly windy also

@TnRiver46, Its a search bait. Run and gun. Sure the fluke jig will out fish the spinnerbait if you are soaking a spot, but for a fast drift with the spinnerbait, one or two cast on a spot and then you are onto another target. Another good use is when you need to fan cast. Say there is a big flat of submerged weeds, all looks the same, you can fan cast a spinnerbait over the flat and get bites, reaction strikes.

I guess now @TnRiver46 is going to take back all the bad things he has said about spinnerbaits. Now the bait monkey will be sending him out to buy a bunch more of them. :lol-045:

I think I’m just going to never throw them again, enough is enough

A spinnerbait was the only lure I could get bit on today. A neon green or white/green one, burned in shallow water, was very effective. I tried a chatterbait too, no luck. I also tried going slower with a variety of plastics, and a buzz bait. They didn’t want that. It had to be a bright colored spinnerbait!

I’m noticing a trend. Spinnerbaits seems to excel for members fishing shallow water with lots of weeds. Most of what I fish is 20-50 feet of clearish swift water, all rocks

Another SB fan here. Give me an overcast day, submerged weed beds in 4-8 ft. of water, I'll catch fish all day on a chartreuse SB. Caught my PB on one. 5+ lb. LM. Hit my SB 4ft from the boat in 5 ft. of water. Saw it come up and hit it. Still think about that morning.

I hate them, and have a binder full of Terminators lol.   I catch a fish occasionally, but they are an archaic Dinasaur of a bait to me.

Seems you are correct in that the people who love these baits have certain unique conditions that make them work better.   Shallow water on grass flats during a windy day sounds like a good time to throw them.....something I don't fish much of, and if I do, I'm going to run a lighter weight chatterbait over it.

Spinnerblades are the most hate it or love it bait in fishing I think.   That or Buzzbaits.    I can't hardly fish in the boat with someone who is throwing one lol

44-FAE8-F0-36-E3-4-D19-AA5-D-1-C002-AB56Started at 7:30, finally got one at 1 pm  as I was lifting the lure out of the water haha. I went and found some stained water at the advice of @Captain Phil, which was ironically in the back of the creek my dock is in. Main channel, where I’ve been going, is blue water. Then I was working a rocky point with no love. Tossed a worm and got 2 back to back…….. Such is life

of the 7 spinnerbait fish I’ve caught in my life, 4 or 5 have come on this one.

CBA6-BE7-E-B3-B9-4-F35-8026-8084-E4-B8-Fdon’t know where I got it or what it’s called.
