Was doing yard work with just shorts on. Yea that’s right. No socks, no shoes, no shirt, no hat.
About 8 of’em caught me and now I look like I’m from Uzbeckastan when I do yard work.

Lesson learned.

Oh yeah! You will get taught by them very quickly. You will make sure there's not a ... round 2.

The pain sucks, but it fades within the hour.  It's the itching that makes me insane

Oh yeah. I'm scratching right now!

And they are deceptively fast. They can move with you stride for stride.

Ouch. Not a pleasant sight to see.

This is the idiot

I'm intentionally not reading the yellow jacket stories for my own health. My favorite stinging insect is the cicada killer because they fly away.

I imagine that "first time" is a doozy.  you won't even KNOW you'allergicre .  just going thru life happy and ignorant to the fact that a sting can end you.  so scary.

I have yet to be stung by a wasp or bee.  like I said, I am FAST!!  hahah. I would have swam across that lake underwater like Aquaman!!

Yeah.  He was an adult when he got stung.  Lived almost two miles from my parents home.  By the time he got there he could barely see.  My Mom had to run him to the hospital.

I’ve been to the hospital for that!

I got stung by something at work not long after a started, which was just a few months ago. I’m guessing it was a hornet, because I’ve been stung by bees, wasps, ants, etc., but this one in particular had my hand swelled up for three days.

I cast a spinnerbait over a tree limb one time, and I started pulling trying to get it loose.  When it wouldn't come free we headed the boat over to get it, and saw the hornet nest.  I was lucky that when we changed the angle of the boat the spinnerbait came free.  I didn't want to lose that bait, but I sure wasn't going to go get it.
