I'm in need of some fluorocarbon line for my three crankin' combos and was checking out some different brand's offerings when I came across Sunline Crank. According to the ads, it's designed specifically for cranks and jerkbaits. One of the attributes cited was more stretch than conventional fluorocarbon lines. I'm assuming it also has less memory.

Has anyone used it and what is your opinion?

Main line or leader material? Sunline is one of my favorite brands but cannot reccomend it because ive never used. Another option is seagaur invisx, that stuff is stretcher than most mono, i dont like it for anything really except treblehook baits. Mono has more sensitivity than that stuff. Shock leaders might also interest you, if you mess with braid. Just giving you options

Varivas and sunline have  set the standard of line for me expecially in specialty lines such as shock leaders, they are built different

Mainline. I had Invizx on two of my combos and wasn't impressed with the amount of stretch, expecially compared to Abrazx. I've also used Sunline Sniper, but didn't care for the stiffness. It always wanted to jump off the spool and the little thumb pressure needed to control it would cut into casting distance.

I see where your delima arrises, and I cannot think of a line that fills that niche. It may just be the best bet to try fc crank, because I normally just compensate with a power less rod with a more parabolic action or shock leader, which both have obvious downsides.

I have it on one set up and it's not bad. I do like it and have had no issues but I'm not crazy about it. I think I might like Invizx better. The FC Crank has more stretch but I never thought Invizx had that much to begin with. It does do a good job of getting a bait down to where it needs to be and it holds up well. One thing with Sunline FC I have noticed though is that it has different characteristics at various weights.  Lighter lines might be softer and heavier lines, tougher and more stiff. You can really notice it in the Shooter. It makes hard to go from one weight to the next and expect the same thing. One other that I like from them is the Sniper Invisible.  I have been using 6lb and 10lb and really like it for just about everything.
