I’ve got an old folding one that has been thru the ringer, I’d almost be embarrassed to post a pic. I think I found it in a river. There’s not much blade left to sharpen on the main blade, somebody must have lost it years and years ago. I will say it’s durable !

I inherited my grandpa's Old Timer pocket knife that he bought in the 60s, and literally never left home without it.   He was a mail carrier for a long time too, so I imagine he used for various things daily, perhaps why he was so religious about always having it.

It's hard to open, archaic like a dinosaur, but the steel used, and the manufacturing quality of it ensures that I could give it to a grandson one day if I wanted.

For me it's two companies......Kershaws for actually carrying daily, and using to cut, pry, scrap, etc. with, and then Microtechs, the knifes I buy thinking I'll carry them, but then realize I'm not about to cut some boxes with a $400-500 OTF knife.

Kershaw makes a fantastic affordable blade, many great designs, and their assist opening models are darn near auto fast.

I had many USA made carbon steel Old Timers in my life . I sold them all last year . Great knives . My first Pocket knife was an Old Timer that I received for Christmas . The new stainless steel models from China just dont have the same charm .

I’ve been using the same Ole timer for hunting since the 70’s and it’s still going strong.

I have one just like yours Catt except has a gut hook. I'm guessing 50 yrs old? The older Old Timer knives were very good quality, and hold an edge very well. I'm not sure about the new ones.

I've got my dad's Old Timer pocket knife, don't know the model number. He bought it in the late 60's or very early 70's. It's put up and I never carry it. Means to much to me to take a chance on loosing it.
