I know people have rods that they swear by.  A rod that if you broke it, you would start looking right away to buy the same model, if possible.  What is that model to you.  To me, its my Loomis MBR842C.  My flat out favorite rod, and if, or more likely when, I break it, I will immediately be buying another.

My most recent rod I've only had for a week....the Alpha Angler Chatterbound.   I'm not a huge technique specific kinda guy, but for chatterbaits, this rod is an essential tool.   The performance wow'd me unlike any other rod I've owned, including Loomis GLXs and Steez AGSs.

All my rods are "favorites", but the MBR 842 is my favoritest!

Easy, 13Fishing Omen Green ML - I feel every blade of grass through this rod.

I did break it on a high-stick set when a redfish followed my lure out of the water, and the fish exploded at the same time - took us both to break the rod.

I called 13Fishing asking for a discount replacement, and they gave me full warranty since it was fishing.  Had a new rod in 10 days.

Nice, is that an aftermarket handle on the Zillion SV TW?

Daiwa Rebellion 7ft ML spinning,  absolutely amazing finesse/neko rod. As a matter a fact I have one in my daily rotation and 2 in storage ,just in case. I have far more expensive spinning rods, yet I gravitate towards this rod constantly.

@AlabamaSpothunter Yes, I already had the long Avail handle to swap in, so I bought the 8.5-geared Zillion.   Easy to swap trim on Avail, and here's how it ended up.

Very cool and gucci.   Bet that is one effortless reel to wind.

Cast distance with 1/8 ounce is into next week.

We were on opposite banks of a tide pass here, and I had to thumb my casts to keep them out of my friends.  We found stacked snook for the first hour of daylight.

It’s discontinued, but my Fenwick Aetos 7’ MH-F. An amazing worm & jig rod, and a delight to fish with.

Shimano Clarus casting. Mine is an older full cork handle model. One of the best rods I've ever bought over the years.

Daiwa AIRD-X Braiding-X 6'6" M Spinning Rod paired with a Pflueger Trion 30 spinning reel. Retrieves like butter and casts a good distance. Love this combo for worms, creatures, ned/wacky/neko type stuff. I’ve got 10# braid on it now and is my go-to on most days.

Couldn't say.  Although I've been fishing less and less over the past 4 years, I didn't stop buying until sometime last year.  I've got rods/reels that I've never used yet.  Some that have only been out once or twice.  Can't determine a favorite with such little use.  I really like my OG Tatulas and Fenwick Smallmouths, but a rod I have spent some time with (and would hate to lose) is a 7' MHF Rainshadow RX7.  I'd replace it in a heartbeat if I could.

I'd feel bad if I broke any of my rods with the exception of 2 or 3.

All GLX rods were on big sale the other day. Even though my GLX 843C MBR isn't broken (knock on wood), I was thinking about getting another one.

Loomis 843C & 852S my favorite rods I have could take just those 2 and fish all my favorite techniques with ease.

Well... I just bought my 3rd Ark Invoker Pro 7'4" H MF casting rod. Lack of a full handle is the only thing that keeps it from being the perfect chatterbait rod IMO. I'm also liking it very well for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, and paddletail swimbaits. Just an excellent blank for single hook moving baits. The split grip really isn't a big deal as it's a large diameter blank, but I do prefer a full grip on my chucking and winding rods.

My Ark Tharp "King Cobra" would also be replaced immediately with another if broken. Great heavy cover pitchin rod. It's light, sensitive, and very well balanced for a rod of it's length and power. I spend a lot of time with it in hand, and rarely pitch cover with anything else anymore. I've muscled a 5+ LM from deep in the cattails, and two 3' musky out of bushy laydown tops just in the last couple weeks with it. Day after day it gets the job done in the jungle.

I was just checking out a used crucial at my local tackle store about a month ago. I forget the model, but it was either a 6-8 or 6-10 MH. Picked it up just because I hadn't seen one in a while. I had forgot how nice they were. I may pick up a used one one of these days just for nostalgia's sake. They were above my budget when they were in production.

My Daiwa Silver Creek Glass Progressive of course.  I've fished it more than any other rod so far this year.  It fits my style of fishing so good, the more I use it the more it feels like an extension of myself.  Daiwa really knocked it out of the park with this one.

My favorite right now is a no longer available 6'9" ML Fenwick Elitetech Smallmouth.

It works great for weightless plastics, especially wacky senkos, but also weightless tubes up shallow around docks and laydowns.
