Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 25, 2022 Super User Posted September 25, 2022 It’s called SPRING LAKE. It has some legend to it. Some bass magazine wrote an article about a possible world record that was unconfirmed. 24lbs or something. Anyways, us locals joke about it all the time. It’s right by my house. Fun. Easy access. No motors. Some guys launch bass boats and stay on the trolling motor all day. I buy the annual parking pass. well I’ve never seen a DD. I hear the rangers talking about the 8lb ,”caught just the other day”. My best fish is a 6. Yesterday it was 3.5. Haha. The big bass days are over since they quit feeding them trout. I got five yesterday. Mostly 2’s. Gave a Vision110 to an 11 year old fishing with a mentor. They were trolling them. Really cool kid. 17 Quote

Was on the Tennessee yesterday and it was raining until 11:30 AM. Had the river to myself. Caught 20 from 10:00 till 11:30. They were biting like sharks. The sun came out and I could tell when Church was over because all of a sudden tranquility vanished. A jet ski club came upriver at noon and there were (no kidding) 40 jet skis roaring by at intervals on their way to the Nickajack Lock. It was mayhem and the fishing, and attitude, suffered. Then the cabin cruisers with the waves so high and powerful that it muddies the banks. Caught nineteen more in the following six hours after 20 in the first hour and a half. Most were dinks but several where nice. Yes I understand everyone has a right to the water but I LOVE that no-motor rule....except mine! Ha! Cool weather's comin! 4 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted September 27, 2022 Global Moderator Posted September 27, 2022 I remember reading about Paul's fish when I was a kid. Pretty cool to fish a lake with a history like that. 1 Quote
