Hey guys,

If a top pro like KVD or Brandon Palaniuk, or big name like Bill Dance or Hank Parker could join the BassResource team, what would you like him to do?  Remember, BassResource is more than these forums.  We have articles and videos too.  Plus there's several social channels.

So we could do YouTube shorts, or long format videos, or Facebook/YouTube live shows.  Then there's Instagram too.  Podcasts?

There's so many things we could do, but what would you like to see?

In depth technique articles/videos would be pretty much my main want.

I'd like to see them just become one of the members, and impart their wisdom slowly, and more directed when members have specific questions they're dealing with.

Essentially just become what the other SME (subject matter experts) do on tech forums.

There are a million pro videos on youtube, same goes for podcasts, and article write ups.  What is unique is having somebody like WRB or A-Jay participate daily in discussions, and add input based on an OP's specific question.

We need more tech discussion, less youtube videos, and magazine writeups.   Just my 2cents.

Nothng, no pros needed for me. I get all my tips from the members on this site by being able to ask a member a question from their posts.

Confused by this. If you like being able to ask member's opinions,... Why would you be opposed to asking the opinion of someone who spent the majority of their adult life fishing competitively? Especially someone with the experience of KVD, Bill Dance, or Hank Parker as Glenn mentioned??

Seems a little arrogant to me to say no!!

I agree with Alabama that it would be nice to have them just be a member and resource to chat and give advice based on their experience.

I read another forum that just doesn't have as much to offer as this place does, but one thing I do like is Gary Dobyns comes on and chats with the members about specific rod designs and what he intended them to be used for, as well as which rod he would suggest for a specific application.

It is nice to hear first hand suggestions from people with that level of experience, whether that be from members like WRB, A-Jay, or someone like KVD, Bill Dance or Hank Parker

I agree

No matter what we think we know about certain baits, techniques and equipment, the in depth, individual, less obvious things others do and don’t do,

I think can be invaluable to others.
Novice and experienced alike

Yeah it's like that at my biggest gun forum.    It's awesome to have the company owners/product designers interact so closely and often with it's customer base via tech forums.

You end getting a vastly better product from these companies when they keep their pulse on the actual folks buying their products.

I think it's great when I see this site's sponsors occasionally reply.  I've seen Seibert and DVT both reply to threads recently.   I'm more willing to spend my money with someone who actually makes an effort to connect with their customer base.

Absolutely! I have appreciated DVT's feedback on reels and am putting together an order for Siebert jigs and Fogys based on members reviews and Sieberts replies to questions.

What do we need top pros for? We have @Deleted account.

@Glenn Uhh I’d like to ask specific questions. Some sort of Q/A format. Maybe to keep it directed there could be a specific topic about the Q/A.

Edit: Don’t know what the time demand for something like that would look like though. I think it might be harder for the pro to give thoughtful answers to every question asked rather than just to do a one-time 20min vid.

I’m with @AlabamaSpothunter on this as well as tips/advice on bank fishing too. Since I’m limited to fishing from shore hearing from a pro on this would be great.

Love me some bank fishing, some of my best Bass fishing days/nights were from the bank.

We'll have to meetup someday and fish the Sipsey River for Trout :)

Maybe set some limits up front, like the pro picks one member's question a week or month....and hopefully willing to take on a follow-up question or two.

Videos by pros and other are a dime a dozen.  Articles are ok, but I typically don't read them unless I have searched for something specific.

Just knowing BR has top tier pros reading some of out banter is humbling.

The pro has limited time to share with BR members so it must organized to take advantage of opportune time periods.

Videos, articles we have thanks to Glenn’s contacts.

I think we as members should try to prioritize Glenn’s listed suggestions.

I am old and over the hill and don’t do FaceBook or Instagram, YouTube works for me long or short with the opportunity to respond with Q & A.

Thank you, Glenn?

This may sound crazy, but what I'd like are stories, especially if you get someone older who's been tournament fishing a long time, like Hank Parker or Roland Martin.  I like tips and instruction, but there's no lack of that here or elsewhere.  I'd like to hear about experiences.

^^^THIS^^^ If they want to do how to videos and such great, but I'd REALLY like to see them be able to start, and join in on discussions, and offer their 2c like any other member. Maybe have an "ask the pros" section as well, where only the pro's are allowed to answer a fellow members question.

PS: Thanks for asking for our input on this Glenn.
