Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 16, 2022 Super User Posted September 16, 2022 last week it was 114 deg at my city. this morning I had to rummage for my zipper hoodie. its cold! maybe 50ish now. cool all day, with rain. my local lake was less than 10 miles from a recent earthquake. I do believe all the work I put in to figure out the bass during the dog days of summer will need to be stowed away for next summer. time to see what they are doing now. I seem to recall that I do well in Fall. lets do this!! 3 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 16, 2022 Super User Posted September 16, 2022 The last week has been nice after a brutal summer. Looks like we will finish the month in the mid 90's. However, nights are cool and getting longer. The best news is that water temperatures on the Tennessee River have dropped to 69.5*. The smallmouth bite turns on at 70* WOO-HOO! Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted September 16, 2022 Super User Posted September 16, 2022 Can’t wait for the fall feed bag here and some crappie for the freezer after the first frost. I’m going out tomorrow and it’s supposed to be in the 80’s but the nights are much cooler now. Will miss next weekend because we are flying to Portland for my niece’s wedding. Not too excited about that.?? Quote
Way north bass guy Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Thursday morning here we had light frost on the truck roof. Not enough to kill any veggies or flowers, and it’s supposed to warm back up again for a while, but it’s definitely the start of “the slide”. Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted September 16, 2022 Super User Posted September 16, 2022 It’s better here now. 80s instead of 90s. Can’t wait for the first breath of cooler air. 1 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 16, 2022 Super User Posted September 16, 2022 Had dew on the boat seats for the first time in months and seeing them bust shad on the surface in the early fall makes those hot summer days almost worth it. Going to be a nice change getting a few days of showers to close out the weekend and start the week. Quote
