You should look at the War Eagle screaming Eagle and finesse. Otherwise have Siebert make you some on a R2 .035 frame with smaller blades.  Double willows a 3.5 and 4, colorado front blade either 2 or 3 depending on the bait color.

This is a bait I made to match Yamamotos Natural Shad color.  I am rotating through 4 of them but I have caught 153 bass and a catfish on this bait since May last year.

War Eagle finesse spinnerbaits, only spinnerbait I throw when I'm fishing ponds/pressured lakes.

When fishing current, I prefer double willows. The WE Finesse has Colorado and Indiana, which will make it rise. The ZMan Finesse is close to the right size for me and comes in 1/4 and 3/8. One other I hadn't considered is the Megabass SV3.

The SV3 has been very good to me this summer. Nice thing about it is the tail works as its own trailer and you can just put a small trailer hook back there to help with your hookup ratio.

I picked up some Deps Mini Bros a few weeks ago to mix it up, but so far I do much better with the SV3.

My issue here is the Indiana blades.

I usually lean towards to colorado blades over willows because the kind of baitfish in most local waters.  Ive tried indiana blades and I'm not the biggest fan. I found the thunder/turtle blades to be the perfect in between.

The kvd finesse spinnerbaits are great baits at a fair price. They run straight out of the package and are the perfect size, big enough to catch quality fish and small enough to get lots of bites. My go to spinnerbait by far

These are the best manufactured spinnerbaits I ever used in fast current .I dont care much for the free-swinging double hook , so  I made some with the same dimensions and a fixed single hook  .

Working on some of these myself. What did you use for skirts?

I highly recommend the Strike King Mini-King Spinnerbait.  It is 1/8 oz and works well on UL/L/ML gear.

Those are dynamite.  You can pick them up along with your groceries at wally world.

I'm not a big spinnerbait guy (sorry @LrgmouthShad), but I've had good luck with Strike King's Tour Grade Compact offering in white/silver in a lot of my spots with shad present. Maybe spinnerbait will be my 2023 grind....

You catch some real real nice fish. Your last prespawn was super impressive while some of us Northerners at the time were huddled next to a fire trying to stop the shivers ?

If your bass - and particularly your big bass - don't like spinnerbaits, that's okay. But you mention you've got shad and that's all the better. If you send me some descriptions of the places you like to fish I can offer some suggestions on what to throw.

Thank you, I was very fortunate to get into a handful of nice ones this year, let alone on a presentation I was just getting into. My best five went 43lb 9oz, and the biggest three were on that jerkbait. Fingers crossed this season wasn't a fluke and I can squeeze out something good this coming fall/spring.

And yeah, no problem. Shall I throw in some GPS coordinates to make it easier? ?

Spinnerbaits are on fire here in Merryland which should last for about 2 more weeks.  Transition from summer to fall is always the best time for me with spinnerbaits.  I have caught fish March to November on them but late September is usually the best.

Speaking of compact spinnerbaits I'm thinking of starting to toss around a 3/16oz Strike King Lil Mr. Money when I want something smaller and lighter in shallow water. I hear those things are great but I probably won't be able to resist making a few changes to them.

You REALLY should be throwing some whiteish colored swim jigs now. I was there from  July to the beginning of  November. Out of the 10 biggest fish I caught 8 were on swim jigs in September or October. If you don't have any or can't find any send me your info and I will send you some.

Have you caught a  meanmouth bass yet?

Sir, I thought I told you last time on a post but I can't/shouldn't fish right now. Still healing an injury and have been for past two months... basically whole time I been here.

So far injury is not interfering with the stuff that I need to do here but I just got to work a short while ago. We'll see what happens. I'm here till Feb and possibly later.
